Mike Champion is Chief Executive Officer of Tahaluf – Arabic for “Alliance” – a strategic joint venture between Informa Plc, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) and Saudi Arabia's Events Investment Fund (EIF). He has led the partnership’s ambition to establish a new, world‑class events company in the Kingdom, focused on helping Saudi Arabia become a global events hub and on growing some of Informa’s best‑known brands in the region.
Since co‑founding Tahaluf in 2022, Mike has driven rapid, step‑change growth to build Saudi Arabia’s leading business events company.
He joined Informa in 2019 as Regional Executive Vice President — Middle East and Africa and successfully launched and co‑created Black Hat MEA, the most attended cybersecurity event globally since its inception, as well as LEAP, the largest debut tech event in history, Cityscape Global, 24Fintech (now Money20/20 MEA) and CPHI Middle East. Collectively these platforms attract nearly one million attendees annually, including more than 100,000 international visitors.
Known for a team‑first leadership style and a long‑term strategic perspective, Mike works closely with governments, investors and private leaders to harness the power of live events in driving economic transformation.
