ISEM 2011 looks to score a success

Looking to score a success this year is the sixth edition of the International Sports Event Management Conference which takes place between 12-13 October at the Wyndham Grand Hotel in London. 2011 is set to be the biggest to date.

Sports Event Management ConferenceOver the years, ISEM has provided a unique focus on the challenges and opportunities facing sports events professionals and created a forum for debate which has helped fuel the drive towards greater professionalism and higher standards in the sector.

ISEM a must-attend event for all those who work in the sector including the members of Local Organising Committees and Federations from around the world.

Last year’s event saw some star studded speakers on the agenda, with Danny Jordaan of FIFA 2010 South Africa, Gilbert Felli of the IOC and the founder of IPL cricket, Lalit Modi as a part of the line up. ISEM’s speakers in 2010 reflected the remarkable year of sport last year, which included the FIFA World Cup, the Youth Olympic Games, the Winter Olympics, to name but a few. With the recently concluded 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, the forthcoming 2012 London Olympic Games drawing ever closer, UEFA Euro 2012 taking place in Poland and Ukraine, the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Korea and the 2018 Winter Olympics being awarded to Pyeongchang in Korea… this years conference will be sure to reflect these events and raise the bar even further than before!

The ISEM Awards are co-located with the conference and they set the bar in recognising excellence in major sports events. The Awards honour sports event management industry leaders through the acknowledgment of outstanding performance and service excellence in the organising of major international sports events.
