CityBuild Construction Awards Call For Submissions
As the world’s construction industry continues to recover from the global economic downturn, organisers of CityBuild Abu Dhabi Construction Awards are calling upon the industry’s heavy hitters to submit entries to recognise standards of excellence.
Part of CityBuild Abu Dhabi and co-located with Cityscape Abu Dhabi, the Awards’ winners will be announced on the opening day of the exhibition, Monday 17 April 2011 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The deadline for submissions for all 11 categories is 18 March 2011.
Sustainability and innovation in the industry are strong themes running through the categories and organisers are expecting strong competition in the Most Innovative Product, the Sustainable Green Award, the Innovation Award for Sustainable Concrete categories as well as the Young Engineer of the Year, which recognises a young professional who has made outstanding contributions to the construction industry.
“At a time when tenders for new business are becoming even more competitive, the Awards give construction product and supplier organisations the opportunity to leverage their services and delivery with an industry-recognised third party endorsement of success”, said Graham Wood, Group Director, CityBuild Abu Dhabi.
“Already we have received excellent submissions from businesses across the MENA region, bidding to win the Infrastructure Project of the Year, the Corporate Social Responsibility Award and Best Overall Contractor of the Year. The shortlist will feature some excellent examples of best practice,” added Wood.
The Awards are open to architects, construction managers, quantity surveyors, procurement managers, real estate developers, product innovators, government entities, contractors and suppliers. [amendment 24/08/2016]
