Boosting Penetration for Growing Populations on Broadband Latin America agenda
With an increasingly wealthy and tech-savvy public who are demanding higher speeds and a much more reliable broadband service, Latin American broadband networks are experiencing historic levels of investment, with FTTH penetration rates in Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, Colombia and Chile increasing alongside the pioneering LTE network deployments across the region.
With a focus on identifying the strategies and technologies being used by service providers to increase broadband penetration throughout the region, the inaugural Broadband Latin America event taking place from 2 – 3 July at The Grand Hyatt Hotel, São Paulo, Brazil, will see leading CEO level contributions from Latin American service providers address how they will utilise fixed and wireless technologies to meet ambitious broadband targets.
In his latest Broadband Latin America interview, Ricardo Sanfelice, Executive Director, Marketing and Products at GvT states that “Large companies, such as GVT, have to invest in fibre to achieve a greater geographical footprint.” Ricardo will be speaking on this topic alongside leading regional broadband executive Flavio Lang, CMO at TIM Fiber Brasil.
