Ipex 2014 starts its journey with world tour

Informa Exhibitions, organisers of Ipex 2014 (26 March - 2 April 2014, ExCeL London, UK), has announced its plans to host a significant series of roadshows in the event's key international visitor territories throughout the whole of 2013.

The roadshow will give delegates their first opportunity to experience the Ipex 2014 theme of 'discovering' and 'exploring' print's role within the fast changing marketing mix. Each event will provide fantastic networking opportunities, engaging with key print groups, associations, media and exhibitors to provide them with the latest industry analysis, trends and statistics, including discussions around growth opportunities and presentations of relevant case studies.

‘We will present informative and engaging events that will focus on the international printing community, especially amongst the emerging markets, to ensure we engage, attract and deliver these visitors to London in 2014,’ commented Nick Craig Waller, Ipex 2014 marketing director. ‘There has been a significant rise in footfall from emerging markets around the globe - at Ipex 2010, the split was 52 per cent UK and 48 per cent international visitors and we expect an increase to a 55 per cent international, 45 per cent national split. China, for example, is increasing its collective stand space by over 100 per cent at Ipex 2014, and we expect to see a corresponding increase in visitor numbers as well as increased activity in the media and associations.

‘So, after looking closely at these changing dynamics and other emerging markets, we are delighted to announce such a wide range of key territories that will be visited on our Ipex 2014 international roadshow. We look forward to help delegates with their first step on the journey to discover and explore new opportunities for print as part of the marketing mix at our roadshow events.’

The current list of countries on the Ipex 2014 international roadshow include: Australia (Sydney & Melbourne), Belgium / Netherlands, Brazil (Sao Paulo), China (Beijing & Shanghai), France, Germany, India (Mumbai & New Delhi), Italy, Japan, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom (10 cities) and the USA (Chicago, Philadelphia & New York).

Attendees will also hear the latest updates on Ipex 2014, including technology highlights and details of features that will be incorporated in the event. This will include information on Cross Media, Informa Exhibitions' event for marketers, agencies, print and media owners, which will be integrated with Ipex in 2014 to showcase everything that's dynamic and innovative about print in today's contemporary marketing mix.

In addition, the Ipex 2014 team will provide an overview of services that will be offered to visitors, exhibitors and the media to ensure travel and accommodation arrangements can be made as effortlessly and cost effective as possible, including visa applications for relevant countries.

The Ipex 2014 organising team will be presenting their plans for the roadshow at its next IAC (Ipex Advisory Committee) in September. Further information about the scope of individual events, content, speakers and timeframes will be announced in the upcoming months.

Ipex 2010 took place from 18 - 25 May 2010 at The NEC, Birmingham, UK. Total attendance figures reached nearly 95,000 over the duration of the show, with visitors from 135 countries.
