Informa brands fly high at prestigious US B2B journalism awards
Aviation Week takes top honour among 12 wins for Informa
Informa teams and journalists won 12 Jesse H. Neal Awards across seven brands at the 2026 ceremony held in New York. The wins recognise excellence in many areas of specialist media, from editorial to art design, as well as across a number of different specialist markets, with awards for brands in aviation, foodservice, battery technology, payments, education and more.
Aviation Week won six awards including top honour the Grand Neal, presented to the entire editorial team for the Sept. 1-14, 2025 edition of Aviation Week & Space Technology. The same issue also won the award for Best Single Issue of a Tabloid/Newspaper/Magazine category.
Informa’s 2026 Neal Award wins are:

- The Timothy White Award for journalistic courage: Shared by Aviation Week Pentagon editor Brian Everstine and seven other journalists
Among Aviation Week’s wins are two individual awards. Space and Emerging Technologies Editor Garrett Reim won the award for Best Commentary for his Quantum Leap column and Pentagon editor Brian Everstine shares the Timothy White Award for editorial courage with journalists from seven other publications.

Reflecting Aviation Week’s legacy of reporting for over a hundred years, C.M. ‘Tony’ Plattner, a reporter for the magazine in the 1960s, was given a special award in recognition of his editorial courage and the inspiration it provides to today’s journalists.
Three awards were presented to Industry Dive titles, part of Informa TechTarget. Senior Vice President of Editorial, Davide Savenije, commented: ‘It's always an honour for our team to be recognised as one of the best of the best in B2B media. It reflects not just standout stories, but sustained excellence in our journalism. Awards like these are only possible due to everyone in our newsroom pushing each other to achieve higher levels of impact. There were multiple awards highlighting excellence in delivering engaging technical content to readers. Battery Technology’s Senior Editor Maria Guerra won Best Explanatory Content for her coverage of battery technology breakthroughs, and Packaging Dive and Aviation Week both won the Best Technical/Scientific content award in their respective categories. Of her award, Maria said: ‘I am inspired by this award to continue fostering understanding of the rapidly evolving landscape of battery technology through exploration and storytelling.’
In foodservice, Restaurant Business gained recognition for its long-form content with the Best Profile award. Joe Guszowski, Senior Editor, commented: ‘It’s always nice to get a stamp of approval from your peers, and I think it reflects the level of journalism we produce at Restaurant Business every day.’
Informa brands also won two of the Best Overall Art Direction/Design awards, with one going to CSP Daily News for its issue ‘Rewiring the future of C-stores’, and Aviation Week won for its 2025 artistry in photos and data.
