Informa announces Broadband Latin America senior level speaker line-up

Informa Telecoms & Media, organisers of The Broadband World Series and the first ever Broadband Latin America show has announced its senior level line-up of speakers.

The show, which expects to attract hundreds of attendees from across Latin America and beyond will cover the most relevant topics affecting the broadband industry in the region with a particular focus on delivering broadband excellence by ensuring seamless quality of experience and profitability.

Speakers confirmed so far include Rogerio Takayanagi, CEO at TIM Fiber Brasil, Gustavo Cantú Durán, Corporate Vice President at Nextel Mexico and Raúl Ernesto Amaya Montejo, Vice President of Strategy at Avantel Colombia plus many more. The event, taking place from the 2 – 3 July at The Grand Hyatt, São Paulo, Brazil will also feature two pre-conference workshops on the 1 July. The second workshop will be run by Motorola Mobility, Platinum Sponsor at the event.

The event aims to cover all the most pressing issues surrounding broadband including leading broadband strategy and technology, mobile and wireless broadband, business models, strategy and service innovation, customer satisfaction, managing OTT challenges & Opportunities, Regulatory & Security concerns plus FTTH. Rogerio Takayanagi, CEO at TIM Fiber Brasil comments “In Brazil, most of the customers with broadband access have a low performing service (over 70 per cent have less then 2Mb/s of bandwidth). In this market, the main players are incumbents that face challenges in offering higher internet speeds because of the length of the copper network and the investment required to upgrade to a Next Generation network.”  Flavio Lang, CMO at TIM Fiber Brasil will be speaking on this subject on Day 1 of the show alongside Ricardo Sanfelice, Marketing & Product Executive Director, GVT Brazil.
