Dami Patel

Supervisory Chair and HR Director, Taylor & Francis

Dami Patel is the Chair of the Supervisory Trio, who are collectively overseeing Taylor & Francis on an interim basis. She also holds the role of Group HR Director for Taylor & Francis. Dami originally joined the business in 2008 and swiftly advanced to the role of Group HR Director by 2012. She was appointed to the Taylor & Francis Board in January 2015.

With over 25 years’ experience in building inclusive cultures, Dami empowers colleagues to grow a sustainable future-focused knowledge business. She spearheads the alignment of T&F’s talent with its organisational vision and strategy; overseeing the Global People Team function with its focus on people, culture, operations, transformation, learning and development, in order to meet key business objectives.

Dami has led several organisational restructures and integrations of acquisitions, creating a cohesive and high-impact organisation through innovative and effective HR policies and initiatives which enhance employee engagement and development. Dami is motivated by the mission of enhancing colleague experience to foster human progress through knowledge. She cultivates a culture of excellence, collaboration, and respect among T&F’s global team.
