Informa's Taylor & Francis to Publish Fundación Infancia y Aprendizaje Journals from 2014

Fundación Infancia y AprendizajeTaylor & Francis and the Fundación Infancia y Aprendizaje (FIA) are pleased to announce a new publishing partnership for 2014. Taylor & Francis will publish the Fundación Infancia y Aprendizaje’s five highly-regarded journals:

• Psyecology, Bilingual Journal of Environmental Psychology
• Infancia y Aprendizaje, Journal for the Study of Education and Development
• Cultura y Educación, Culture and Education
• Estudios de Psicología, Studies in Psychology
• Revista de Psicología Social, International Journal of Social Psychology

The partnership will bring the journals to the attention of a larger international audience via Taylor & Francis Online, the publisher’s state-of-the-art publishing platform. It will also provide high-quality production, global marketing, and author services to support the FIA journal program. The journals will publish bilingual Spanish and English articles.

“Our partnership with Taylor & Francis could not have come at a better time", says Pablo del Río, President of Fundación Infancia y Aprendizaje. "For over three and a half decades, we have been immensely fortunate to have helped create a tight-knit community of some of the best authors, editors and reviewers in psychological research in Spain and Latin America. But in a globalized world, building a bridge between two of the world's most important scientific languages, English and Spanish, is now not only an interesting possibility but a pressing necessity. We are thus thrilled to be able to publish all our journals in a bilingual format, which will enable authors to circulate their research in two linguistic regions simultaneously (with a single manuscript and peer-review process), and provides a unique opportunity for readers from all over the world to access the newest research in both languages. It is an honour for us to work with Taylor & Francis, a company of the highest prominence in academic publishing, and with a team of dedicated people whose sensitivity to our work and unsurpassable professionalism ensures the continuity of our commitment to scientific advance for many years to come.”

“We’re really excited about publishing these five journals in partnership with the Fundación Infancia y Aprendizaje”, says Taylor & Francis Editorial Director Rohays Perry. “Each of the journals has a unique focus on a different aspect of psychology, and has already proved itself as a vital outlet for researchers not only from Spain, and Spanish-speaking countries, but from around the world. We believe that partnership with Taylor & Francis will enable even wider dissemination for these interesting journals, offering an international showcase with bilingual content, high quality production and support services and an online journal platform which is second to none.”

Fundación Infancia y Aprendizaje, launched in 1976, is a not-for-profit entity dedicated to researching, publishing and promoting scientific knowledge of human development, with a strong emphasis on culture, psychology and education. The journals will join Taylor & Francis’s extensive portfolio of over 250 behavioural science journals. Taylor & Francis also publish an extensive range of psychology and behavioural science books under the Psychology Press and Routledge imprints.
