Informa named in Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

Informa has been included in the in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the third consecutive year, recognising the Group’s commitment to being an ever more sustainable business.

Each year, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index ranks the performance of the world’s leading companies based on economic, environmental and social criteria.

For the 2020 DJSI World Index, Informa scored 74 points out of a maximum of 100. This is the Group’s highest total to-date and puts it amongst the top 1% of large businesses in its sector when ranked on sustainability performance.

Ben Wielgus, Informa’s Head of Sustainability, said: “I'm really proud of our collective progress towards being an increasingly sustainable and responsible business. With the launch of our five-year FasterForward programme in early 2020 and now the Dow Jones Sustainability Index confirming we are in the top 1% of participating companies in our sector, it's an exciting time for us as we aim to embed sustainability in everything we do.”

FasterForward

Informa’s approach to sustainability is called FasterForward, a five-year programme committing us to a series of activities that will ensure the Group becomes an ever more sustainable business.

These commitments include becoming a carbon neutral company by 2025 and a net zero carbon company by 2030 or sooner, and embedding sustainability content into all of our brands by 2025.
