Informa Brands Win Seven Awards at Leading US B2B Journalism Awards

NEW YORK: Informa media brands and journalists across three divisions have been recognised at the Neal Awards, the most prestigious editorial honours in the field of business-to-business journalism.

Informa won in seven categories:

Industry Dive, which joined Informa in 2022, took home four awards for its specialist journalism. BioPharma Dive was recognised for its analysis of the Amylyx Pharmaceuticals ALS drug and its regulatory review, and its work reporting on biotech’s worst downturn in years. Marketing Dive also took home an award, recognised for ‘Best Series’ for its coverage of iconic brand rivalries that helped define modern marketing. Industry Dive’s fourth award was won by Retail Dive for Best Website, highlighting its reporting on the waning of legacy retailers and the rise of new potential disruptors.

Commenting on the award wins, Industry Dive’s Editor-in Chief, Davide Savenije said: "We're incredibly proud of the recognition bestowed upon us by our peers in b2b media. The awards reflect areas where our publications shine the most: our consistent, enterprising reporting on important industry issues; our coverage of big breaking news with equal measures of speed, depth and insight; our ability to step back from the news and produce highly impactful projects that examine critical topics; and the modern, compelling design of the websites through which we deliver our journalism and other valuable content to our readers."

In Informa Markets, Farm Progress, which covers the business of agriculture, won for its ‘Around Farm Progress’ podcast and Amanda Pedersen, senior editor of publication Medical, Device and Diagnostic Industry, which serves the medical manufacturing industry, was individually recognised for her ‘Pedersen’s POV’ column.

Nancy Walsh, President for Informa Markets in North America, said: “The Neal Awards are a tremendous honor, and we are so proud to have Amanda Pedersen and Willie Vogt representing Informa Markets with two well-earned wins. This recognition reflects their hard work, deep understanding of their industries, and dedication to delivering exceptional journalism to the communities they serve.”

Nation’s Restaurant News, which provides business intelligence to the US foodservice industry, is part of Informa Connect and won for its “Brand Icon: White Castle” feature, recognising NRN’s innovative use of print, digital and multimedia storytelling in one feature package.

Sam Oches, NRN’s Editor-in-Chief, commented: “This Neal Award validates our commitment to multimedia storytelling and our team’s unparalleled skill in producing insightful, engaging videos and podcasts for and about the restaurant industry. We’re honored to receive this award.”

Named after Jesse H. Neal, the first managing director of American Business Media, the Neal Awards were established in 1955.
