Informa Australia hosts biggest Rail Conference and Exhibition in Southern Hemisphere

Australasia’s flagship rail conference and exhibition, AusRAIL PLUS 2013 will be co-located with the leading international forum, the World Congress on Railways Research from 25-28 November 2013.

It is the first time the two events have combined, and together they will feature over 400 speakers, up to 350 technical papers and more than 400 exhibitors across 25,000sqm of exhibition space at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre.

“The whole rail industry is excited about this massive event, set to take place in the heart of Australia’s largest city,” said Australasian Railway Association CEO, Bryan Nye.

The World Congress on Railway Research (WCRR) commences on 25-28 November and will bring together international researchers, manufacturers and operators from the rail industry who will discuss best practice and the latest innovations in rail.

AusRAIL Plus 2013 kicks off one day later on 26-28 November and will be attended by industry leaders, rail manufacturers and operators from across Australasia and globally.

“This is the most significant rail industry event staged in the southern hemisphere both in scale and industry representation. We anticipate more than 5,000 attendees to the conference and exhibition, which has secured interest from companies worldwide including Japan, China, Germany and France,” said Informa Australia General Manager, Tim Bostridge.
