Simon Ferguson has over 30 years’ experience of leadership and management in B2B & B2C media organizations, covering print, digital media across all channels, data & subscriptions and events & exhibitions. During 10 years at RELX (Reed Elsevier) he led media businesses in the technology, travel & hospitality and consumer care sectors, including responsibility for the UK’s 5th largest trade exhibition. New product development included launching one of the technology industry’s first ecommerce marketplaces, and co-founding Travolution, the pioneering brand for the digital travel sector. Simon drove digital transformation across several media brands, growing paid-for-content and business intelligence subscription revenues.
In 2009 he led a management buyout of the travel & hospitality division at Reed Business Information, establishing it as an independent media business
Simon spent 9 years at data & ecommerce platform Travelport serving the global travel, aviation and hospitality sectors. He led first Europe and then US & Latin American operations, growing Travelport’s data intelligence & digital advertising capabilities, and launching mobile and digital payments platforms.
Simon is non-executive director of media consultancy Publisha, and has served as an investor/board advisor to a range of start-ups including digital fashion app Frame, social network MePlease and loyalty & payments platform Upgrade Pack.
