Informa plc was created from the merger of IBC Group plc and LLP Group plc in December 1998 (click here to go to the history of the Company). Since then, the company has grown both organically and through various acquisitions and mergers.

In May 2004, Informa merged with Taylor & Francis plc to become T&F Informa plc, changing its name to Informa plc in August 2005.

In July 2005, Informa acquired IIR Holdings Ltd.

In March 2007, Informa acquired Datamonitor plc.

In November 2007, Informa carried out a Reduction of Capital to increase its distributable reserves following changes to the Company’s dividend payment policy.
