Monaco Yacht Show
|
The Monaco Yacht Show is the only international yacht show devoted exclusively to luxury yachting, featuring the biggest in-water display in Europe of super and megayachts.
It is not hard to understand why so many people never miss the Monaco Yacht Show. Symbols of elegance and stature, the show's main attraction represent only the best of the best. For example, the 2005 show featured 93 exquisite yachts - up from 65 yachts five years ago - selected from 150 exhibitor requests submitted to the organisers for 2005.
From among the 93 yachts present, the show gives potential clients a unique opportunity to be among the first to be present for the world previews of 30 to 40 motor and sailing yachts. Some are being delivered in 2005, some are having their world premier.
The Monaco Yacht Show started off as a broker-oriented show in 1991, but has evolved considerably in the last 15 years, benefiting from tremendous growth in the international yachting industry. It also has the privilege of having, as its patron H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco who has provided a great deal of support.
The show also provides its clientele with an opportunity to invite their clients to seminars, dinner parties and drinks; either on the yachts they are exhibiting, at their stands or at prestigious venues in Monaco. Like the show itself, attendance has continued to grow at the show, jumping from 12,000 to 21,000 in the last five years; it is expected to grow again this year. As you would expect, the show attracts many private clients with extremely high purchasing power.
Attendees range from amateur enthusiasts to wealthy owners and shipping magnates who are often yacht lovers themselves. Many professional visitors come to see the latest technological innovations and to meet the world's leading players and key decision-makers in the field.
