Community
Concern for others, in local and global communities, shines from Informa. Employees from all walks of life contribute time, skill and funds to raise money for charities. Informa began a partnership with Plan International in 2008 supporting a local children's media project. The local Informa staff in Hyderabad have now well and truly taken ownership of this project and are involved in volunteering and fundraising for Plan India on a regular basis. In addition to the Plan partnership, Informa works closely with the World Cancer Research Fund on its annual 'Go Bananas' events across the globe in the form of fun runs.
It is our aim to support ongoing charitable work as well as create new ways to support these ongoing, global worthy causes. This could be through devising organisational initiatives which work in partnership with other groups or companies for mass benefit, or it could be by supporting employees with their own efforts. Our Community Steering Committee has the commendable task of developing and promoting more ways to help those around us.
