Informa pays a dividend to its shareholders twice a year. The dates of the upcoming dividend are:
Interim Dividend for the financial year ending 31 December 2011
Ex-Dividend date: 17 August 2011
Record date: 19 August 2011
Payment date: 16 September 2011*
*5.00p per ordinary share
Informa operates a Dividend Access Plan for all its shareholders. Those shareholders who hold fewer than 100,000 shares are deemed to consent to receive their dividends from a UK Informa company. However those shareholders holding over 100,000 shares need to elect to join the Dividend Access Plan by completing an Election Form. This form is available from Informa's Registrars by calling 0870 707 4040 (calls to this number cost 10p per minute depending on the service provider. Lines open 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday).The overseas number to call is +44 (0)870 707 4040. If you hold over 100,000 shares and do not elect to join the Dividend Access Plan you will receive your dividends from Informa's Swiss holding company. Shareholders can elect to receive shares instead of cash from their dividend allocation through the Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP).
Shareholders can elect for dividends to be paid by mandate directly to a UK bank or building society account through the BACSTEL-IP (Banker’s Automated Clearing Services) system. For the benefit of shareholders resident in any eurozone countries, the company offers the option to receive dividends in euros. The company’s Registrars also offer an Overseas Payment Service, whereby shareholders can receive dividends paid directly into their bank account in their local currency.
