Editorial Code
In 2007, Informa established the Editorial and Content Code, created with the help of the Editor of Lloyds List, the leading daily newspaper for the maritime industry. Whilst a commitment to quality products is in our DNA, we are a quickly expanding business, so still find it useful to have an overarching policy that sets out the standards we expect for published content.
IP & Content Protection
In this digital and ever shrinking world, the issue of IP and brand protection has become increasingly important. In addition to needing to ensure that we are well placed to protect our proprietary IP, Informa recognises that as publishers and information providers, we act as the guardians of the copyright of our authors and third party contributors. Therefore, we have been developing technological, procedural and practical solutions to help manage this issue.
Examples of how we are doing this include providing training and education for all employees, revising our agreements in relation to both the acquisition and sale of content to provide for greater protection in relation to intellectual property rights and conducting a comprehensive review of our approach to brand protection.
